What is the Boost Mode in TargetCool®?
The Boost Mode is one of the three modes in TargetCool, an FDA-cleared, Class II medical cooling device. TargetCool Boosting Mode delivers low-temperature gas and cold-water (saline solution) to the treatment area under controlled temperature and time settings to provide rapid, precise, and controlled cooling.
In Boost Mode, TargetCool uses patented Precision Cooling Technology® to control and harness the force and temperature of carbon dioxide, holding the treatment area at the set temperature for the set time — cold enough to be effective but warm enough to avoid patient discomfort or complications.
TargetCool Cooling and Boosting Modes are indicated for the temporary reduction of pain, swelling, inflammation, and hematoma from minor surgical procedures, minor sprains or other minor sports injuries, and as an adjunct to rehabilitative treatment.
